Samuel Mensah Adevor
Samuel Mensah Adevor is the Due Diligence Officer of STAR-Ghana. He was born on April 13, 1976 in Accra. He supports the Heads of Finance and Programmes to commission independent due diligence assessments and reviews of grant partners and in the implementation of relevant follow-up measures.
He ensures that the initial and detailed screening of prospective grant partners is undertaken in line with STAR Ghana’s screening process and provides the relevant support to external and independent assessors commissioned to undertake due diligence assessments of grant applicants. Ensures detailed and updated database is maintained on due diligence profiles of successful Grant partners. Makes sure that continuous risk assessment of Grant Partners is conducted, an updated risk register maintained and ways to mitigate such risk recommended. In consultation with the Head of Finance, ensures that Grant Partners are supported in developing efficient and robust internal controls and financial management systems.
He has over eight (8) years of experience in Financial Management and Analysis, Accounting and Auditing, Risk and Project Management, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Treasury Management. He is also a Banker and a Trader with a good understanding of the Banking industry and the global financial markets.
As part of his Development Sector experience he worked with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Dakar, Senegal from 2015 to 2016. He has a PRINCE2 Foundation Certification in Project Management issued by APMG International and a Certification in Procurement Operations issued by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
Samuel is a product of Centre Africain d’Etudes Superieures en Gestion (CESAG) in Dakar, Senegal where he pursued a bilingual (French & English) Masters in Business Administration(MBA) degree in Banking and Finance and has specialised in Financial Markets and Corporate Finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Central University in Ghana and attended the University of Professional Studies(UPS) in Accra where he pursued the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) course and presently a part qualified Management Accountant.
GESI and Capacity Building Manager
Eunice Racheal Agbenyadzi
Eunice Racheal Agbenyadzi, GESI and Capacity Building Manager is an organizational development practitioner with fourteen years of experience in development practice. She has professional experience in managing and facilitating capacity development interventions for organizations from micro, meso to macro levels, building strategic relationships and partnerships with public and private institutions, and policy development at the national, regional and international levels focusing on project and programme management, research, advocacy and process facilitation.
Prior to joining STAR-Ghana, Eunice worked as the National Policy Advisor for Education and Governance with IBIS; Gender/OD and Health Advisor in SNV-Netherlands Development Organization; Regional Learning Advisor for VSO West and Central Africa.
Eunice has also worked as a research officer with the University of Ghana School of Public Health, and as a Social Worker for the African Centre for Human Development.
Currently, Eunice is the Gender Equality Social Inclusion and Capacity Building Manager with STAR-Ghana, where she leads on the GESI responsiveness of the programme and its partnerships with civil society and state actors. She also manages GESI specific interventions with partners, and supports the capacity building actions with and for the programme and its partners.
She has an MBA focused on project and financial management, strategic management, entrepreneurial development and research. She holds a BA in Psychology with thesis that explored sex and gender difference on performance of boys and girls at school. Eunice is passionate about social justice and fairness and demonstrates willingness to learn from and with others to promote this.
