Amina Abdulai Yurilim

Projects Officer

Amina Abdulai Yurilim is a development practitioner with over six years of experience in project implementation, community mobilization, social inclusion, youth and women’s empowerment, and stakeholder engagement. Her work has focused particularly on strengthening the participation of women, young people, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups in community development and decision-making processes.

As a Projects Officer at STAR-Ghana Foundation, Amina supports the implementation of peacebuilding, social cohesion and community resilience initiatives across Northern Ghana. Her work involves coordinating with civil society organizations, local authorities, traditional and religious leaders, security actors and community stakeholders to facilitate community dialogue, strengthen local partnerships and promote inclusive approaches to addressing community-level challenges.

Prior to joining STAR-Ghana Foundation, Amina worked with Youth Empowerment for Life (YEFL-Ghana), where she contributed to youth and women’s empowerment, community mobilization, advocacy and social inclusion initiatives. Her broader professional experience includes work in education, disability inclusion, sexual and reproductive health and rights, research, monitoring and community engagement.

Amina holds a Master of Philosophy in Special Education from the University for Development Studies and has completed a Master of Arts in Peace, Security and Development at the University of Cape Coast. She also holds a Bachelor of Education in Special Education from the University of Education, Winneba.
